I love these challenges that make me take another close look at my photos. Whether I planned them in a certain way or more likely by accident they turned out that way, it invites me to take a deeper look and see what the viewer sees. The following are some of the ones that I think move your eyes further in or across the photograph to see the whole picture. I hope you feel the same….

I hope you all enjoyed my challenge photos this week and I can’t wait to see the ones you liked best! Thanks again to our host Patti and Journeys with Jonhbo, you can find his link here. And a big thank You, for stopping by 😊

Ohio farmland in the summertime. Submitted to John’s Cellpic Sunday
Home Sweet Home~
This week’s challenge focuses on Home. Where do we live, where are we from, where are we now?
I could say that Home, is the United States of America, the state of Ohio. I wrote about my Hometown here,
I have many photos of places I’ve been to all around my country and state but this weather, this season makes me want to stay close to my Home.
This is a comforting challenge for me as the fall fades away, (where I’m from), and a chill drives us inward. Home, is where I want to be as the holiday season sets in and a fire in the fireplace warms my bones.
The following is a glimpse inside and outside of my Home at various times of the year.
If your Home is a reflection of you, then I hope you see me clearly. Thanks for stopping by and welcome to my Home~

And as always, keep something wonderful focused in your lens ~ 😊

A spontaneous weekend getaway found us in Louisville, Kentucky. Sometimes the unexpected adventure is the best, cold beer, full house, and great live music!

My Cell Pic Sunday photo is inspired by my granddaughter’s this week. My son and his family were home for Thanksgiving, for the first time in a few years and what a blessing it was!
The girls and I took walks and did crafts while they were here. They were amazed at Mamaw’s rubber band bag, all the bright colors, shapes and sizes and I thought “what a wonderful photo it would make!”
The Rubber Bands, just like Families, are all colorful, come in all shapes and sizes and beautiful to behold all together! ❤️

So happy to be entering my first post of many I’m sure, here on Thursday Doors. Doors are one of my favorite things, they always share a story ~
The story of this beauiful door comes from my hometown of Portsmouth Ohio, in what is called the Boneyfiddle historic district. In 1865 a stone saw mill, Rietz & Company, was established here and supplied stone and marble, mined from a nearby quarry all up and down the Ohio River. This foursided stable, is all that remains of that part of our history. The site is now protected and is a stop on the Ohio Byway and the Scenic Scioto Heritage Trail.
My story….I was lucky enough to catch her on a beautiful fall day in 2022!
Thank you to our host, and thank you for this community of like minded people, I love sharing in this space! And for those celebrating, Happy Thanksgiving!
